What
Are Doorway Pages?
Doorway pages are
also called, lead capture pages, splash pages,
opt-in pages squeeze pages. In a nutshell, an
effective doorway page gives your visitor just
enough information to make them want to know more. A
really cool thing that happens the moment someone
hits the submit button is that you are notified by
email at the very same time.
By using an
"opt-in" or "subscribe" form on
your page, your visitor has only one of two choices:
- Enter their name
and email address
- Or leave
-- it's that
simple.
By peaking their
curiosity, you encourage them to take the desired
action, which is to request more information from
you (also known as "opting in"). They
can't go any further and access what you are
offering until they enter their information.
Once your visitor
enters their information into your form and hits
"submit" they will automatically be taken
to the page that you want them to see next. This can
be a "thank you" page, your company
provided website, or another page that you've
written to give them more information.
Interesting
Fact...
Did you know that if someone won't give
you their name and email address, they
won't buy from you either? The wealthiest
Internet Marketers all use doorway pages
to capture names and email addresses before
they ever ask a prospect to buy (or join)
something. |
Capture pages are
essential for building any long-term business
online. You can use them in marketing various
opportunities, products, or services that you want
to promote.
You
know how a strainer allows the smaller pieces to
pass through, but the bigger (more difficult) pieces
get stuck inside the strainer? This is what your
capture page is designed to do, allow qualified
visitors to pass through while holding back the less
qualified visitors.
Without effective
lead capture pages for your business, you're wasting
your time and money.
With internet
marketing, the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT
thing that you MUST have is your contact list.
We're not talking about some list of email names
that you've bought from some bulk email broker
either. We're talking about a qualified, CULTIVATED,
permission-based list of subscribers that want more
information about your business, product, or service!
When used
correctly, capture pages are one of the easiest ways
to build a permission-based contact list. It's a
strategy that works because you've gotten your
visitors ATTENTION and now they WANT to be on your
email list. You've developed a relationship with
them.
Important Note:
To keep you on your best behavior, when emailing
your contacts, ALWAYS give them a way to
"opt-out" and don't be offended if they
do. Let's face it... if someone doesn't want to be
on your list any longer, do you REALLY want
them to be? Your list should have only qualified
prospects that respect and trust you and are truly
interested.
| Your
list is as valuable as gold to
you - so be sure you
always treat them like they
are! One of the best ways to
do this is by staying in
contact with them. Send them
useful and valuable
information on a consistent
basis. Weekly or bi-weekly is
a good rule of thumb. Even a
monthly newsletter is good. |
