What Are Doorway Pages?

Doorway pages are also called, lead capture pages, splash pages, opt-in pages squeeze pages. In a nutshell, an effective doorway page gives your visitor just enough information to make them want to know more. A really cool thing that happens the moment someone hits the submit button is that you are notified by email at the very same time.

By using an "opt-in" or "subscribe" form on your page, your visitor has only one of two choices:

  • Enter their name and email address
     
  • Or leave

 -- it's that simple.

By peaking their curiosity, you encourage them to take the desired action, which is to request more information from you (also known as "opting in"). They can't go any further and access what you are offering until they enter their information.

Once your visitor enters their information into your form and hits "submit" they will automatically be taken to the page that you want them to see next. This can be a "thank you" page, your company provided website, or another page that you've written to give them more information.
